The vision of the WORT project is to stimulate networking and ongoing exchange between regional stakeholders with a focus on promoting long-term, self-sustaining dynamics. The aim of the project is to initiate and strengthen cooperation that can holistically counter the shortage of skilled labour in South Thuringia.
WORT sees the mutual interest and exchange between potential new employees and regional employers as a crucial element in retaining skilled professionals. This mutual openness fosters sustainable relationships and contributes to the long-term strengthening and securing of the economic vitality of South Thuringia.
As part of a holistic approach, it's essential to involve local civil society and the students of Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences in these processes. The city of Schmalkalden is therefore an important project partner. It has an interest in motivating not only the organisational and economic landscape, but also the wider public to participate and co-create in the project, thereby enabling everyone to make an active contribution.
