Second round of ‘Creatively connected’

On Monday, June 10th, the workshop "Creatively Connected" entered its second round. After the last workshop, where Schmalkalden town residents benefited from new meeting formats, this time the focus was on rural areas. In a small but equally reflective group of six participants, we addressed the question of how newcomers in a village can quickly feel at home and integrate into the local social structures while simultaneously strengthening the willingness of the locals to open up. The discussions were intense and provided a safe space where participants collaboratively developed creative approaches to improve both the newcomers' integration and the local residents' social openness in rural areas. The results of the workshop offer valuable impulses for future initiatives and projects in our villages and will be further defined in a follow-up workshop. We look forward to the continuation and the concrete creative projects that will emerge from this and be supported by WORT.
