The 2nd Campus Food Festival at Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences took place on May 6, 2025. The festival was organized by former student and current university employee Anna-Lena Abel. She was supported by the international student organization DEGIS, the student council for computer science and especially the student Anton Schmidt, who ensured that everything ran smoothly on site.

The WORT project took part in this day with a campaign that connected Schmalkalden with the world. Postcards specially designed for the event could be painted and then sent to family or friends with kind words. The WORT project had provided sufficient stamps (also for international postage). It quickly became clear that many of us had not written a postcard for a long time. Some students admitted that they had never done so. Of course, the WORT staff were on hand with help and advice, wrote down the addresses correctly and made sure that the cards arrived.

Over 60 postcards were colorfully painted and sent all over the world. A successful campaign that will certainly be repeated soon. Writing together led to many conversations and an exchange between the different cultures.
